Yellsites Rate Card and Product Rules

Let us build you a website for your business. We take care of everything involved in creating a website to showcase your business, including writing all the copy, designing the pages and managing the website. The purchase of a website is subject to a minimum period of twelve (12) months commencing on the date that the website goes live.

For the purposes of these terms and conditions, the term 'website' refers to any website created as part of our Yellsites product. When you purchase a website from us you enter into a contract with us. The contract is made up of:

In the case of conflict between any of the above documents, priority shall be given in the order in which they appear above.

Rates & Minimum Term for Yellsites

  • Initial Payment – Price depends on your location and the channel through which you have purchased a Yellsite, price includes design and creation of a website typically including up to 5 pages, ready for your approval
  • Monthly Charge – £20 - managed service
  • Minimum Term – twelve (12) months

Rates & Minimum Term for Yellsites Plus

  • Initial Payment – £350 - design and creation of a website typically including up to 10 pages, ready for your approval
  • Monthly Charge – £35 - managed service
  • Minimum Term – twelve (12) months

Rates & Minimum Term for Yellsites Premium

  • Initial Payment - £3,000 – design and creation of a website typically including up to 20 pages, ready for your approval
  • Monthly Charge - £100 – managed service
  • Minimum Term – twelve (12) months

All rates shown are in UK pounds Sterling (£) and are exclusive of VAT. The rates are indicative only and do not constitute an offer.

Yellsites Product Features

  • Consultation – one telephone consultation with a website adviser to discuss your requirements. The website adviser can recommend how best to design the layout and structure in order to make your website effective;
  • Design – customised design by a website designer usually includes: a homepage; contact page; and, additional content pages. Depending on your business needs, our websites typically include up to five (5) pages with no more than one video link per page. Each website may feature up to 5 stock images, 20 customer supplied images and 5 customer supplied PDFs. The exact number of pages comprising your website will be at the discretion of our website adviser, following your consultation. If you have clear preferences as to how the website should be designed, it is your responsibility to express these in your initial consultation;
  • Content – we will provide website copy designed to incorporate business activity and location terms in line with our search engine optimisation methodology. It is your responsibility to provide us with the keywords for which you would like your website to be optimised. We will design the website for you based on your initial consultation, using our resources and experience in creating websites for your business type and featuring, where provided, content provided by you. It is your responsibility to advise us of anything you specifically want to mention on your website. If you have clear preferences regarding the type and style of website content it is your responsibility to express these in your initial consultation; Your website can include an image gallery which allows you to showcase up to a maximum of 12 photos of your products or services;
  • Standard listing on Yell.com – provided that you do not already have a listing on Yell.com, you will receive a standard listing on Yell.com;
  • Search Engine Optimisation – the website will be optimised to be analysed by search engines. Please see Product Rules below for further information;
  • Unlimited amendments – subject to our fair usage policy set out in the Product Rules below. So if you need to change some wording or an image, or add a seasonal special offer, please contact us;
  • Hosting – we will host the website for you;
  • Website address – we will provide a .co.uk website address. Alternatively we can use your own pre-existing website address. If you want us to use a website address which you already own, it is your responsibility to supply us with the necessary information that enables us to transfer the domain. Our website adviser will be able to provide further information;
  • Email forwarding – provided that we own the domain, we will provide you with up to 2 email addresses using your Yellsite URL as a suffix (such as info@youryellsite.co.uk) which will forward to an email address of your choosing;
  • Call Counter Geo™ – we can provide you with a dedicated telephone number which connects calls to your usual landline and enables us to count the number of calls your website generates for your business. Please advise your website adviser if you do not want to use our Call Counter Geo™ service.
  • Social bookmarking – we can provide social bookmarking to the footer of your website, making it available across all pages of your website.
  • Site Refresh – if you have a Yellsite for a continuous period of 36 months we will completely refresh your website at no extra cost. The refresh will only be available to you on the condition of signing up for another 12 month minimum commitment period. You will need to request the refresh by contacting our Yellsites Team.

Yellsites Plus Product Features

In adition to the Yellsites Product Features set out above, Yellsites Plus offers you the following additional Product Features (and where a particular Product Feature heading is repeated it replaces the Yellsites Product Feature set out above):
  • Design – customised design is undertaken by a senior web designer. Depending on your business needs, a Yellsites Plus site typically includes up to a total of ten (10) pages, with no more than one video link per page. Each website may feature up to 20 stock images, 65 customer supplied images and 10 customer supplied PDFs. The exact number of pages comprising your Yellsites Plus site will be at the discretion of our senior web designer, following your consultation. If you have clear preferences as to how the website should be designed, it is your responsibility to express these in your initial consultation;
  • Content – we will provide website copy designed to incorporate business activity and location terms in line with our search engine optimisation methodology. It is your responsibility to provide us with the keywords for which you would like your website to be optimised. We will design the website for you based on your initial consultation, using our resources and experience in creating websites for your business type and featuring, where provided, content provided by you. It is your responsibility to advise us of anything you specifically want to mention on your website. If you have clear preferences regarding the type and style of website content it is your responsibility to express these in your initial consultation. Your Yellsites Plus site can include image gallery pages or slideshows each of which allows you to showcase up to a maximum of 12 photos of your products or services. Your website may feature a maximum combined total of 5 gallery pages or slideshows. If you do not already have a logo, the senior web designer will design one for you;
  • Email forwarding – provided that we own the domain, we will provide you with up to 5 email addresses using your Yellsite URL as a suffix (such as info@youryellsite.co.uk) which will forward to an email address of your choosing;
  • Facebook –We will set up a Facebook page with a maximum of five (5) defined tabs (which may include wall, info, photos, videos and a customised welcome page) designed using content taken from your Yellsites Plus site. Once created, we will enable you to maintain your Facebook page - we will not maintain your Facebook page for you once it is set up;
  • Google Places – We will act as your authorised representative to claim your business listing on Google Places. It will then be populated using content taken from your Yellsites Plus or Yellsites Premium site. This may include the following information: business name, business address, service coverage area, opening hours, contact telephone number, fax number and/or photos/videos. Responsibility for ongoing management of your Google Places listing lies with you – we will not maintain your Google Places listing for you once it is set up.

Yellsites Premium Product Features

In addition to the Yellsites Plus Product Features set out above, Yellsites Premium offers you the following additional Product Features (and where a particular Product Feature heading is repeated it replaces the Yellsites Plus Product Feature set out above):
  • Competitor analysis – we will perform an analysis of up to 3 of the competitors you provide to us and then send you an analysis report prior to your consultation;
  • Dedicated Account Manager – end-to-end site production is managed by a dedicated account manager;
  • Multiple Design Concepts – we will provide up to 3 design outlines, from which you can choose your preferred design;
  • Design – customised design is undertaken by a senior web designer. A Yellsites Premium site typically includes up to a total of 20 general business pages depending on your business needs. Product gallery pages will be limited to a maximum of 5 pages. Additional gallery pages are available for an additional £100 each; The exact number of pages comprising your Yellsites Premium site will be at the discretion of our senior web designer, following your consultation. If you have clear preferences as to how the website should be designed, it is your responsibility to express these in your initial consultation;
  • Photo Shoot – if your dedicated account manager believes that you do not have the right quality or quantity of images, we will send a professional photographer to your business to capture these images for you, with your permission;
  • Regular Performance Analysis – your dedicated account manager will monitor the performance of your site and provide you with a regular performance analysis report. Once a quarter your dedicated account manager will call you to discuss overall site performance, trends and make suggestions on how to further develop the site and audience.

Product Process

  • Once we have received and checked your material we will attempt to call you to arrange the consultation with one of our website advisers. Please inform us in advance if you know that you will not be available for a period of time and we will defer our attempt to call you until an agreed date;
  • If we are unable to contact you to arrange your consultation for a period of at least five (5) working days, we will proceed to create the website without the consultation;
  • Once the website is completed, we will send you a link to your website so that you can review it. At this stage your website will be held under a temporary web address;
  • You will then have five (5) working days to respond via telephone or email with your feedback and changes required;
  • We will then set your website live on the earliest of the following to occur: (1) we incorporate your requested changes; (2) we receive your confirmation that the website is acceptable; or (3) if we receive no response from you, the expiry of the five (5) working day response period referred to above.

Product Rules

  • By purchasing a website, you acknowledge that we will own the Domain Name;
  • By purchasing a website, you agree that you are authorised to provide, and that you grant us permission, to display all content (including logos, photos and images) forming part of your website. You must ensure that your website complies with all applicable laws, regulations, codes of practice, guidelines and standards applicable to you and/or your business;
  • Fair usage policy - while there is no upper limit to the extent or frequency of amendments that you can request be made to your website, if we believe at our absolute discretion, that your amendment requirements are so excessive that other customers are or may be detrimentally affected, we may advise you of that fact. Should we continue to receive a high level of amendment requirements, we may terminate or suspend your website;
  • While Yell will endeavour to improve the position of your website in search engine results in response to a search request the exact ranking of your site depends on a multitude of factors outside of our and your control such as the search engine algorithm, the search engine optimisation activity of your competitors etc. Whilst our search engine optimisation methodology ensures that your website can be easily read by search engines, we cannot guarantee a ranking on search engines;
  • All our designs are based on best practice and whilst it is possible to individually define most aspects of the design (font, colour scheme, layout, header design), there are limitations. Our experts will be able to advise you if your ideas and preferences cannot be implemented;
  • We may update your website from time to time without prior notice in order to improve the website's functionality, content and design;
  • Your website may incorporate a link on the bottom of the website linking to the Yell.com homepage;
  • We shall, as a minimum, provide you with the following levels of customer service: (i) telephone support between 9.00am and 5.00pm on business days (being days other than a Saturday, Sunday or public holiday in England); and (ii) a response to emails within five (5) business days;
  • Some of the Product Features are reliant on third party providers, for example Google or Facebook. You acknowledge that (i) we may not be able to provide a particular Product Feature where you do not meet the relevant criteria of that third party provider; (ii) we do not have any control or exercise influence over the third party provider's own services; and (iii) a third party provider's service may cease or change from time to time. You acknowledge that such events are beyond our control and agree that such an event will not permit you to terminate your services nor will we have any liability to you for the impacts that these may have;
  • Where the Product Features involve setting up and/or administering a page or pages on a third party website, you acknowledge that: (i) where necessary, we are authorised to set up an account on your behalf; (ii) we are authorised to administer the page or pages on your behalf; and (ii) you are authorised and grant us permission to display on the page(s) all content referred to above;
  • In order to make your website more effective, we may need to limit the number of images on your website;
  • Additional business pages are available on request. Please speak to your account manager for further details;
  • The exact design and content of your website is at the discretion of your website adviser;
  • If you purchase the Yellsites Premium Product, you may change the time or date of your photo shoot by contacting your dedicated account manager. However, if you cancel or postpone your photo shoot within 48 hours of its scheduled commencement, you shall incur an additional, non-refundable, charge of £250 in addition to the Initial Payment and Monthly Charge;
  • If you purchase the Yellsites Premium Product and wish to transfer it to another provider after the initial 12 month period, you shall incur a £500 charge for doing so.

Payment

  • The initial payment charges are due on commencement of this contract. The monthly payment charges are payable on a monthly basis, commencing on the date that the website goes live.

Term & Termination

This contract shall commence on the date that you receive the confirmation of order and shall continue for an indefinite period until terminated. This contract may be terminated:
  • by us, by providing you not less than fourteen (14) days notice of such termination; and
  • by you, subject to the twelve (12) month minimum term commencing on the date that the website goes live, by telephoning our customer services team on 0800 555 444 and requesting termination of this contract. Provided that you give us at least fourteen (14) days notice prior to the end of a Service Month (being a period of one month starting on the date that your website goes live and each subsequent period on one month after that) we will terminate your contract at the end of that Service Month. If you give less than fourteen (14) days notice we will terminate your contract at the end of the next Service Month.
